We are professionals, we do not expect you to pay hourly rates to troubleshoot a problem just to get the computer back unfixed.

The initial cost of the troubleshooting is $40.00. At that time we call you to agree on repair costs. The cost will not change from the agreement. Most hardware replacements have a longer return time due to shipping of parts. In the event that the parts are not likely to arrive on time, you will get a second call to let you know.

The cost of replacement of the part is then charged by an hourly rate but that first $40.00 comes out of the final cost.

Tripod Computer Services has extensive experience with software and compatibility issues. Many times, businesses need to retain their software labels as the dependency is gained through time. If your home or business are looking for a different solution, we have a list of software labels that are well suited for your needs.

If the real issue is that the software does not work, you can bring your computer by for a $40.00 troubleshootiing session where we isolate the software label on our machine and test the program with the installed software on your system. You will know if it is a software compatibility issue or some more harmful concern.

Many times software issues are directly related to security, malware or viruses, we will find the issue and call you with the final solutions.

Although Virus is a word that is commonly used for all detrimental rogue software programs, we know the difference between virus, trojan, root kits, worms, spyware, keyloggers, tracking cookies, network attacks and the full gamet of the problems that you face as an end user.

TCS will receive your computer system and upon arrival, you will be filling out an expected flow of work to bring your computer back to the way it should have remained had it not been for those that intended trouble.

The base cost for troubleshooting is $40.00.
The cost of backing up your data is $40.00.
The cost of removing the malware is $40.00.

The full cost as mentioned in the OS Install section is $150.00. In the event that the system will not recover without a full system reinstall, we will only charge the cost of the reinstall and that will include the backup to CD's.

If you need your data returned to the original place it came from, that is an extra $25.00 in that case.

The worse case scenerio, your acquiring of the malware will cost a total of $175.00 but will include Antivirus, AntiSpyware, Keylogger detection, and proper settings and information to prevent it from happening again.

In a situation where your computer is not repairable for the cost or you simply want to rid yourself of still usable equipment, TCS is in partnership with HomelessConnection.com and we build computers from those parts and donate them to needing families so even the used equipment does not go to waste.

Computers that are well taken care of still slow down. We at TCS have a surefire proven way to speed them up. Again, for the cost of the initial diagnostics, you can have a much faster computer through our tune-up service. This as with all our services, can be scheduled throughour contact section.

In the event that you need an operating system install, we will reinstall the OS of which you have the license sticker for. If your system has been upgraded to a new OS and you failed to keep the sticker, we can go through your registration from Microsoft to verify the ownership of the correct version.

Any and all OS installs cost a full amount of $150.00 which includes the replacement of your hardware drivers and what software you have a current license for. This also includes the updates that are from the manufacturer as well as a fully updated Operating System.

We will not leave you without the tools needed to open any file. If you do not have a peice of software that is licensed, we will bring you an equivalent that you will not need to license all for the full $150.00 so bring a list of software types that you will need and given you have enough space, we will install them and optimize the computer for fast access.

When we look at your system, we know what it needs for us. I do not want to overwhelm you will unneeded computer parts or great software labels so we take special effort to narrow down the possibilities. When you want information about upgrading your system, ask the question on the FAQ and remember to have run HWInfo first so we know what you are working with.

We will watch the FAQ for customer questions on a daily basis so if you have some patience, the answer might be coming a bit slow but sometimes jumping into things is not what you really need.
